safety statement:
It may be noticed that in order for others to be able to hear what I’m saying on video, I’m generally not wearing a mask during the various demonstrations. However, I want to stress that it is vital to protect hands, face and particularly eyes, nose and mouth when dealing with any of these materials in their raw state. I normally use a 3m particulate respirator that not only helps with dusts but also vapours.
When handling dusts and pigments, always remember:
contact may irritate eyes or sensitive skin
dust may irritate respiratory systems
avoid eye contact, where appropriate rinse with water and seek medical advice
avoid prolonged contact with skin, wash off with water
avoid inhaling dust, ventilate area, move to fresh air
avoid ingestion, wash mouth and drink water
wear suitable clothing, gloves, eye protection and dust mask
Be very careful at all times when handling sharp instruments and to thoroughly familiarise yourself with them before attempting their use.
Neither I nor anyone involved in the production of these videos can be held responsible in any way for injury or damage to property through their use.
